Bridal Shower – Need And Importance

Filed under: Invitation — admin @ 5:45 am

Bridal shower is a party primarily arranged for gift-giving to the would-be-bride. This tradition was started in order to protect poor families who may not afford the marriage expenses. In such scenarios, bridal shower invites are sent to invite close relatives and friends, so that this party can help in collecting few finances and gifts which can compensate dowry practices.

This party is generally arranged by the bridesmaids, close relatives and friends. Typical strength for the party should be close to 20 people. The ideal time to arrange such parties is around 1.5-2 months prior to the marriage ceremony. This party gives relatives and friends an opportunity to spend some time with the bride and that is the reason for low number of guests. Ideally, anyone invited to the bridal shower should also be invited to the marriage ceremony also.

A similar party is thrown as or before the birth announcements of new babies, which is generally called baby shower. This function is generally restricted to the female members only.  With the gathering of close family members, relatives and neighbors this is just like another informal gathering. People present gifts and blessing to the would-be mother. People gathered play lot of games and chit chat with snacks been offered.

There is lot of websites that offers you facilities to organize events like kid’s birthday party, bridal shower arrangements, etc. Kids enjoy a lot organizing of a party on their birthday and also attending a friend’s birthday party. Kids enjoy these gathering because they treat this as gathering with the entire friends circle.
